HOUSTON, TX. – The Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee (MNSBHC) has named Minnesota Vikings Linebacker Chad Greenway as their “Crew 52” Captain for Super Bowl LII. The announcement came in Houston during the “Bold North Down South” Minnesota Party to generate excitement for Super Bowl LII, which will be played at U.S. Bank Stadium on February 4, 2018. Greenway will serve as a volunteer ambassador for Minnesota during the 52 week countdown to Super Bowl LII, generating excitement and support for MNSBHC’s efforts to recruit and train the 10,000 volunteers who will help put on a safe and successful Super Bowl LII in 2018.

“Hosting the Super Bowl is a great chance to show the world what we love about Minnesota- our great football fans, an incredible stadium and our bold north hospitality,” said Greenway. “If you are as excited as I am for Minnesota to host the big game then I hope you will join me and sign up to be on Team Crew 52!”
“Chad is the perfect ambassador to showcase everything we have to offer in the Bold North,” said,” said Maureen Bausch, CEO of the MNSBHC. “He will help us recruit volunteers and ramp up excitement as we countdown the 52 weeks to Super Bowl LII.”
The MNSBHC’s volunteer site will go live in the coming weeks. Minnesotans who are interested in volunteering can sign up for Fan Mail (LINK) in order to receive first notification when the volunteer site goes live. The announcement of Chad Greenway as Crew 52 Captain puts Minnesota one step closer to being on the clock for Super Bowl LII. On Monday, February 6, the day after Super Bowl LI, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will join the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee at a press conference to officially hand the game ball to Minnesota. This will kick off a Handoff Week in Minnesota, which will culminate with a “Show Us Your Bold” rally at the Mall of America’s Rotunda, featuring Chad Greenway and other Minnesota Vikings players and community leaders.
